Senior Officers Network (SON)

Each LERU member university has one Senior Officer who is the main contact person of the university for LERU matters. This person is a member of the Senior Officers’ Network.

The Senior Officers are the university’s contact on LERU matters and the LERU Office’s primary contact person within the member universities. A Senior Officer is well informed about LERU’s past and upcoming activities, follows the developments of the European research, innovation and higher education scene, is to know the other LERU universities and to stimulate and coordinate their university’s participation in LERU activities. The Senior Officers Network meetings are mainly to support these activities. The meetings are held about a month before the Rectors’ Assemblies.Each LERU member university has a Senior Officer who is the main contact person of the University for LERU matters. This person is LERU Office’s primary contact person within the member universities and represents LERU at his/her University. The Senior Officers’ Network meets twice a year, a month before the Rectors’ Assemblies.

Activites/Topics
The Senior officer helps the LERU Office when it needs specific information about the university or its people. A Senior Officer is to be well informed about LERU’s past and upcoming activities, an follows the developments of the European higher education and research scene, to know the other LERU member institutions and to stimulate and coordinate their university’s participation in LERU activities. The SON meetings are mainly to support the Senior Officers in these activities.
